Beautiful result. Mind if I asked what you used for the silver?

Thanks. I tend to use Humbrol out of convenience, I've used rattlecan Metalcote before and found it good to work with, but I was wondering if such a Spit would be "polished aluminium" or "polished steel".

Nice finish, can I ask if there the decals that Airfix supplied, they look a bit WW1 ???

Yes Paul kit supplied it has been mentioned but I can't find any actual photograph of the real thing.

Always been standard D type on silver Spitfires, don't know how Airfix would put WW  1 A Type roundels in,

Mind you I have just had a F2A Lightning delivered with Blue and Yellow checks for 92 Sqn !!

Just can't understand Airfix's source for the scheme even googling with the serial nothing turns up,ah well!
