Some in progress photos you can find HERE It is the Hellcat Mk.I, JV132, 800. squadron FAA from HMS Emperor flown by Lt. B. 112 Squadron Posted October 12, 2022 Share Posted October 12, 2022 (edited) An excellent Hellcat and a great tribute to a brave pilot of the FAA. While flying a Sea Hurricane defending HMS Indomitable during Operation Pedestal on August 12 1942 Lt. B. Ritchie downed three Ju 87 Stukas. As mentioned above his final victories were also scored in the very same Hellcat against two He 115 floatplanes.
