Neddy
Coming out of Waitrose s'afternoon I found this sitting nose to nose with my car in their underground car park. A 1965 Fiat Duova 500 looking absolutely original. It didn't have the false gloss of a shell-up restoration (although it must have had one) but it didn't have much in the way of patina either. It just looked... original. Terrific to see a car like this still being used as a daily driver.

Windy37
I'm in Lanzarote this week for a family holiday and a bus tour around the island today allowed me to spot a couple of interesting items . Well used Hi Lux with zero rust but loved the rubber bonnet straps !  An Opel Vauxhall Belmont . Its badged as a Beauty , which is questionable 🤔 Gary .

Pete in Lincs
Garden ornament Maestro in Stowmarket yesterday which I've mentioned before. It looks like it might drive, but doesn't appear to have moved since the last spot. Oh and there was an as new Rover 45 in Stowmarket too. This afternoon in Wragby, a pristine white Montego estate. Elderly couple in it so maybe a one owner from new. Â

Paul H
Recently, I've regularly seen a white pre-facelift* BMW 2002 Touring coming the other way on my drive to work over the South Downs. Looked in very good order too. My father had a 2002 Tii back in the day, so I'm tempted to get the Hasegawa kit if I can find one for sensible money. (*not sure I've seen a facelift Touring - did BMW continue that bodystyle after they ditched the round tail lights?)  Also ended up stuck behind an early '70s (IIRC, on an L suffix) Lotus Elan convertible the other evening on my way home that was being driven incredibly slowly for the road conditions - even a Morris Minor would have been held up by it!

Farmer matt
A selection from cars at the steam fair at Dane Hill. Not sure if it would be my first choice to display my car in a field surrounded by several dozen smoking coal fires, but at least it shouldnt be a problem getting towed out if it rains. 1933 Lanchester 1934 BSA  1927 Austin7 1936 Wolseley           Thanks for looking Matt

Sabrejet
Spot of the day (by a long chalk for me) from today's Bicester Flywheel: the only road-going Alpine A220, chassis #1731.   It's also the only short-tail A220 and I have to admit I never knew it existed, even though it's in Roy Smith's book on the marque (which I consulted as soon as I got home!). #1731 competed at the 1968 Le Mans 24-Hour race and again in 1969. It was then decided to see if the long-tail body style could be modified for shorter circuits, and hastily (the 1969 Le Mans race was on 14/15 June 1969) the bodywork was shortened and it competed at the 27 July Chamrousse hill climb (3rd fastest of the day). It then raced at Nogaro on 17 August (2nd) before being converted to full road spec for the Critérium des Cévennes rally (DNF). And that was that. I think the rather ugly front splitter was added at a later date, but otherwise she is a cutie for sure.
Farmer matt
@keefr22Â I got some of the traction engines and some trucks, I will put them up seperately when Ive gone through them . Didn't take many of the tractors, of which there were loads, partly because I was way out of my knowledge with them! Patina didn't even begin to describe some of the exhibits! Six97s
I can't remember when I last saw a Montego on the road. 🤔  This week I've seen several horrible 7ft wide Porsche four doors, an H-reg Mini Cooper in a weird green colour/white roof, an N-reg Tahiti blue Stag, a bumperless MGBGT and best of all (?) a pristine early '90s Cavalier 2.0 GL with a personalised number plate.

Nice to see #1731 out in the sun! That front spoiler is indeed a modern addition, not nice, but makes handling this design at speed a bit easier. I like that it has kept the short tail, but I think the owner also has an original long tail section. One of my P24 kits will be converted to CĂ©vennes spec.
