1/72 RealSpace Gemini Titan

Hi all,

 

My first go at a RealSpace (and resin) kit!  Had fun with this one but the decals were problematic, tearing very easily. The roll pattern decals ripped apart and so I had to paint the pattern on.  Metallics are Alclad, the rest Tamiya acrylics.  Thanks for looking!

the QC of this resin kit seems not up to standard, surface is rough, should use sandpapar to polish it. Alclad's metallic silver feels good.

bapowell-You have done an outstanding job on this model!  Everything looks great (i.e. painting, decaling, clean assembly).  I have this kit so I know you put in a lot of hard work to make it look this great.

Great build.  I agree about the hard work you put into it.  I built the 1/144 version and it took a lot of patience.

That is a stunning representation of one of my favourite vehicle combos. Bravo!! As others have said this would be well-suited to a museum.

Hey, sorry for the super-late response!  Yes, I did find a solution: plastic figure/doll stands.  

 

 

The holder arms weren't quite long enough to wrap around the rocket, so I glued an additional arm onto each.  In the end it's virtually invisible and works well.
