I did one of those too, probably about the same time. The blue/red should in fact have been black/orange,

& seeing as Airfix are going to re-release this in their vintage classics range, especially after seeing @Ratch's, I'd be keen to have another go at it. The Penguins could be the problem. :(Ā :DĀ

I remember seeing one drop into the sea off Great Yarmouth in the 60s, a few days later we saw it recovered on the dockside. I'd quite like to do another in a yellow, rescue scheme.

Indeed a very different color I was not aware had been used on Whirlwinds.

A bit like the Admiral's barge green on Seahawks.
