Calum
Hi all. I have recently completed the Hobby Boss F/A-18E kit. I know this actual jet wasn't as weathered as I have modeled but I wanted to do a relatively heavily weathered low viz aircraft so accuracy in that department went out the window. I used Aires Exhausts, Eduard bombs and some buts from the Meng kit. decals are from Furball Full details are at My Blog 64
DaveJL
Lovely mate, I think your weathering looks spot on. The Super Bugs on recent cruises seemed to be very heavily weathered. Great work!
wellsprop
Looks excellent! The weathering looks right for a hard-flown Hornet
James G
Wow, I like that! Painting and weathering are just right. Very nicely done.

Samuraiwarrior
Nice work! Your painting looks okay to me even if you know it probably wasn't that weathered. I apply TLAR 'that looks about right', and if it is what you had in mind then that's great. Like the in-flight pose too. Thanks for sharing Kevin
johnny akes
Looks highly realistic Calum, especially in its ‘in flight’ mode. Great model. If it isn’t quite that weathered in real life yet, it might be soon…..🙁

Lightningboy2000
Highly realistic, don't often see them weathered much more than that. With your photography & some expert masking you could superimpose that onto a nice canyon background. Star wars valley maybe? Stunning! Electric Indigo
Love the pronounced, yet not overdone weathering & extra points for the gear up build! Which pilot figure did you use? nvm got the info from your blog. Edited June 25, 2023 by Electric Indigo

Ramtin
Awesome! As a relative beginner and with interest to make a similar flying stand. Is there a video or article showing how to insert such a rod onto the bottom of a kit?
