Canadian manufactured Harvards - North American or Noorduyn?

What would be the proper "name" for a Harvard manufactured in Canada? "North American T-6 Harvard" or "Noorduyn T-6 Harvard" ?

Taking the B-17 for instance, it is always referred to as "Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress" regardless if airframes were manufactured by Boeing, Douglas or Vega. On the other hand, Canadian manufactured Sabres are referred to as "Canadair F.4 Sabre", while Starfighters are referred to as either "Canadair CF-104 Starfighter" or "Lockheed F-104G-CA Starfigher". Is there any general rule?

YCanadian Harvard’s were manufactured at Noorduyn and Canadian Car & Foundry, as well as North American.  The majority being produced by N. A.

I just call them Harvards(no prefix), but as the Canadian ones were licence-built, it would be correct to call them North American Harvard’s.

cheers, Tony
