Kitkent
Hi,back to 1/43 scale now, this is a very limited kit made by the Jaguar Model Club which sadly does not exist any more. It’s a modsports series car, which was a sort of unlimited free for all saloon car series in the 70’s in the U.K. I don’t actually recall this car myself in real life, but it makes a good looking model! The figure is Graham Hill,he’s taking a break from driving his Corgi toys Ford Cortina estate for now..Chris. 7
Pete in Lincs
That's very nice. What a guy Graham was! I remember watching cars like this at Mallory Park back then. A real mixture of types, door handle to door handle!
klubman01
Great model, nicely done. Did the decals come with the kit? Modsports produced some excellent races back in the day. Trevor
Sabrejet
Nice job: I do like turning 'roadgoing' kits into racers!

bigbadbadge
Looks fantastic, great work, like the extended arches. Chris
Kitkent
Thanks for comments everyone! This was a complete kit as made by the Jaguar model club, CJM, Classic Jaguar miniatures, probably only 100 made if that.So the decals were part of the kit,and also the extended arches. I looked for the box and instructions and it says driven by Tony Williams in a modsports race at Thruxton,1975. Chris.
Zephyr
What a nice model! Occasionally I see a Mk2 on the road- it has flared wheel arches and wide wire wheels and the the stance of the model looks spot-on.
desert falcon
That‘s looking really good, the color suits it very well too 👍
