Welcome along Steve, looks like a great kit and its definitely on my wants list. Too bad the prop blade us broken, do you have a spare or is the original still around ?

Thank's Dennis it was rolling around in the bag!

I was wondering if we'd see this one in the GB :) A nice kit with the only issue I found was the fit of the undercarriage legs into the wing sockets. Sure you'll enjoy it Steve.

Thank's for the heads up Col also there's a poor patch which looks like mold wear directly in front of the windshield filler needed.

Hi folk's as I'm stuck waiting on decals for the sabre I made a start on this one, standard fare painted cockpit, tape harness, decal for the IP then a dry brush

the raised detail repeating the dry brushingfor the wheel wells.

Joined the fuselage and cleaned up the joint's then added the wings and tailplanes just a touch filler in front of the cockpit due to that mold flaw.

next step will be a black prime ready for the Aluminium paint.Prop repaired and painted.

morning folk's,yesterday she received a dark primer which dried nicely.

And today three thin coat's of Vallejo Aluminium as I believe these aircraft were painted rather than polished metal.Prop came out well too.

They were indeed painted in the ubiquitous High Speed Silver scheme :) Nice work on the overall paintwork and prop unit Steve. Decal time next?

Thanks for confirming that Col.

Tomorrow she will get a gloss

Coat after the red stripe is added

I'll paint it rather than use the decal.

Hi Folk's,not a lot left to do now a few odd stencils and fit the tailwheel and doors.Decals were a dream just the wing walkways were a bit of a bind as

they don't have much carrier film which is a good thing I hate Airfix's earlier Spitfire incarnations as they and the serial's tend to silver.
