Homebee
Halberd Models (https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/halberdmodels) from Ukraine is to release on September 20th, 2022 three Mustang resin kits - ref. 001-345 - North American XP-51 Mustang - ref. 001-355 - Rolls-Royce Mustang Mk.X - ref. 001-355 - North American Mustang Mk.I Source: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=pfbid0YpfivSysCSibsr7q7Z2XTWBrxp8hAWcEYTavbxCrVif4rDJ7kkPdfkizFzJaeJG9l&id=100064057054695 Quote Good afternoon dear friends. We continue to work 40 kilometers from the front line. Zaporozhye is subjected to regular rocket attacks from the Nazis from russia. It so happened that my house is located in the area of the city where rocket attacks are most frequent - all rocket explosions occur one and a half to two kilometers from my house. Despite all this, we continue to work. I hope you will forgive us for the delays in the release of our projects, which we planned to release back in the spring. Let me introduce you to our new sets. These are complete kits, not conversions. From September 20, they will be available for purchase in our store on EBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/halberdmodels Tomorrow I will introduce you to some more of our new kits and conversions that will be available in October. I also want to thank the people of all the countries of the free world for your support in our struggle. Many thanks to you for the supply of weapons, financial assistance, for helping our refugees and helping our wounded soldiers. Best regards from Ukraine Halberd Models. V.P. stevehnz
To begin with my reaction was that the middle scheme for the Mustang X were whifs but while furkeling around on Mustang X stuff in general (as you do at such a time ) I came upon this on the AmericanAirMuseum website, not sure that VQ-R was painted in OD over NG, but possibly just the RAF scheme with US Markings & recognition strips. I hope the kit doesn't have the jutting chin of the profiles, it doesn't appear so. Steve.
Corsairfoxfouruncle
As Ive never built an Allison powered Mustang Im sure Id love to build all three. Sadly as Resin kits they may be a but out of my $£€ range. @stevehnz I was looking at the built prototype kits, the chin looks less jutting out & pronounced than the profiles. So lets hope its just an artist thing or we’ll have some fun attempting to correct that.
stevehnz
A small thought niggling at my subconscious got me looking up in Scalemates the HPM 1/72 kit of the Mustang X I have in stock, & lo, it contains markings for both the schemes in the Halberd version, I should've recalled that. I reckon though Dark Green/Ocean Grey uppers are likely to be more correct for the RAF one than the TLS shown. Good on them for giving this a go. Sabrejet
How do these folks do it? These look gorgeous, and as with so many beautiful kits like this, they make me want to buy them, despite me thinking I wasn't interested in the subject. Congratulations Halberd on doing this, and doing it in very difficult circumstances. The people of Ukraine are an inspiration to us all.
Bedders
A small detail, but it looks from the photos like the US painted the AM121 serial number in yellow, as per USAAF rules, and not white as in the profile. And the band across the tailfin doesn't look completely straight (i.e. horizontal front to rear). Halberd Models
Good morning. Thank you very much for your comment. Yes indeed, most likely the number was yellow. We will try to fix this mistake in the coming days, and the set will be sold with yellow numbers. Take care of yourself during this difficult time. Best regards from Ukraine, Andrey.
TBC
Mustang I's that had serial numbers starting with AG, such as your 26 Sqd RM-T AG-366, had their gun camera behind a rather large perspex cover out near the left wing tip. You did get the chin gun style correct on AG-366 as photos do show it with chin gun fairings.
Bozothenutter
Been a bad boy, and ordered the XP-51, Mk.I and the Cavalier Turbo. Now F5'ing for the Mk.X...🤪
Halberd Models
Hello dear friends. The release of the Mustang Mk X set has been delayed until October 1st. We were pointed out to an error in the color of the number in the USAAF variant that it should be yellow instead of white. After fixing this error, the set will go on sale. In the meantime, a few more photos of our set. Take care of yourself during this difficult time. Best regards from Ukraine, Andrey 6

Bozothenutter
Recieved my first batch of kits, only had the chance for a quick look at the XP-51. Lovely fine panel lines and rivets. Undercarriage has a cast-in copper wire. Fuselage seems based on Accurate Miniatures parts based on the rear cockpit stations, but has refinements made. Canopy is cast closed, but lovely and clear.(would have preferred vacform) So far this is what jumped out. Happy camper!
dragonlanceHR
Are the wheel wells the same as on the AM kit, or are they full depth to the wing spar?

Bozothenutter
They are resin copies of the AM wings. Solid, so it would be REALLY hard to correct them. I guess I'll be on the hunt for cheap Academy kits, or wait for the Eduard kit overtrees to use as a donor. Might aswell do the whole conversion really then innit.....🤔
