Jb65rams
Whilst looking for a bit of background on my proposed entry, I came across this site on the history of air racing which I thought I would share with you. http://www.airracinghistory.freeola.com/index.htm
Shorty84
Maybe of interest for @JOCKNEY: https://www.modellboard.net/index.php?topic=63884.0 It's a link to a German modelling forum showing a build which includes a lot of corrections and some less known photos of the Bv 238. The modeller shares a lot of original German documents he could copy in the US in the past for a lot of aircraft types so his posts are a real treasure trove for any Luftwaffe modeller. Cheers Markus 1

Cheers Markus Thank you so much Markus, having seen the detail that modeller has managed, not to mention the 4.5 cm missing in the middle of the fuselage I'm beginning to have second thoughts about building mine ! Perhaps I've bitten off more than I can chew with this build in a GB

Anyhow, it's not that I (can only speak for myself ) would think any less of you if you don't finish her (that's what the KUTA-GBs are for, right ).
Ol' Scrapiron
@PhantomBigStu is building his "Red Baron" project featuring a historic airplane that is actually parked about five miles from my house. The F-106A 56-0459 was part of the "Project Firewall" air speed record team in December 1959... and is now part of the McChord Air Museum's collection. I didn't want to hijack his build thread, so I am going to post some of the reference shots I have taken around and under 56-0459 -- and even in the cockpit (which is displayed inside the museum). I realize there is plenty of generic F-106 photos available with any easy search (I've photographed 6 different ones myself), but these are my pics of the actual airframe Stu is building so hopefully they'll have extra potential as reference. Warning: Photo Heavy --- Seriously, I am not kidding! 56-0459 at McChord... - ...and over the Mojave Desert in her glory days as the lady in RED Tail/Speed brakes - - Nose/Front - - - - - - - - Nose Gear - - - - - - - Main Gear - - - - - - - Weapons Bay - - - - - Wings/Tanks - - - - Doors, Antennas and other details - - - - - - - - - Cockpit of 56-0459 - - - - Well, you made it all the way through. I tried to warn you LOL.
