Alpha Delta 210
Hi all Much as I really appreciated the Czech Air Force displays at the Battle of Britain Air Show, the absolute highlight for me was the finale with a streamed take off of what the commentator referred to as the "Duxford Big Wing". There were twenty Merlins in the formation (sixteen Spitfires and four Hurricanes), plus one Griffon in the 1945 Supermarine Spitfire F.XIVe which acted as the "joker", carrying out a solo display as the big wing formed up. "The joker" Thanks for looking. I can post pictures of the other show participants, if anyone would like to see them! 7

It was a truly amazing experience and I only wish that I had been able to video the take offs as well to catch the exciting g sound of all those Merlins, which really made my neck hairs stand up! Sorry to rub it in! The organisers have a lot to live up to! 11 minutes ago, franky boy said: Great shots I attended the show too and enjoyed it very much. I'm delighted that it was a last-minute stand in. I found the interview with the pilot fascinating as well.
