1:48 KittyHawk Jas-39A/C Gripen (what if scheme)

Recommended Posts

Looks good, the plane as well as the armament. I'm not fan of what-if but this scheme suits your Gripen fantastic.👍

You´re aware that you mixed practice ammo and live ammo?

Minor issue with the wash aside, I think it's all coming along very nicely, John :)

thanks James

getting close to finishing this one, time to start thinking about the next, I've an Eduard "finless" Mustang that is looking very tempting or there's a Lysander that might be an interesting exercise in an "all black" aircraft?

I know I've selected a load-out that wouldn't be used however what I'd decided was to show a "different" range of ordinance and as these were supplied with the kit I thought they would add a bit of novelty?

Both aircraft and armaments look very good John. It seems that you are very close to RFI.

One of my favourite parts of modelling is removing the cockpit masks…

The weather is against taken any RFI photos outdoors so I’ve taken them indoors, the lighting is not optimum.

You can see the full set of photos here…

The finished result is absolutely fantastic, John, well done! As you nmentioned, the load out is unconventional, but it works. I know what you mean about the canopy masks too, they really signify the end. I'll look forward to seeing what hits the bench next :)

p.s. Are you heading to Telford this weekend?
