Roman Schilhart
Dear fellow Britmodellers, this is the 1/72 Hasegawa SdKfz 234/3 "Stummel". I painted with Mr.Hobby acrylics and weathered with artist oils, pastel chalks, graphite pen and mud from the garden. Photos by Wolfgang Rabel. The Hasegawa kit was released in 2005 and builds into a nice replica, although detail in simplified in places. I built from the box, with the addition of a few etched parts for the interior (all of them invisible) and the antenna (from streched sprue). This quick build took about 10 days to complete. Thank you for your interest! Roman

sardaukar
Very nice, I like the camo scheme, that is airbrushed right? What do you use for masking?

To replicate the camo scheme I used Uhu Tac, rolled into sausages, to mask the surface. This gum-like material sticks well and can be shaped into curves easily. Ah, I have started using AK camo putty in a similar manner however it has a tendency to self-level by the time I get the airbrush ready, which is an issue in 1/72. I think I will give the Blue Tac as it is known in the UK a go again. Cheers

Pete Robin
Lovely. I really like the washed out camo. It suits the hard used look. Regards Pete
