Ferrata
Finally finished! After being started in 1999, then resting on the shelf of doom until being restarted six months ago. This is my Hobbycraft 1/48 scale Cutlass F7U–3, finished as a machine from CVA-31 on the USS Bonhome Richard in July 1956. As you can imagine, it’s been a bit more challenging than your average Tamiya kit but a lot of fun nonetheless. Full details are in the WIP if anyone is interested. Highlights include a scratch built cockpit , Vac form canopy, detailed undercarriage and gear bays. The model was painted with a mixture of Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics, then weathered with clay wash and oil paint. I hope you like it, sorry it’s a bit picture heavy. Thanks for looking. 65

Pete in a shed
Great looking Cutlass. Excellent detailing, Its stuff like the linkages and lashing down loop on the nosewheel leg that make all the difference to a model. Pete
