Tokyo Raider
Awesome!!! See, I am the guy that actually made this happen! About a month ago, i just gave up waiting for new tool B25, and hunted a few nice old monogram kits on ebay... so since i bought them, the Sprue Gods majically made HK do this new tool! (Always happens this way!) I will still eagerly get this new kit! 1 3
franky boy
Great news. Was the 1/32 version considered an accurate kit if this is a scaled down version of that? And how will this stack up against the older Accurate Miniatures kit? James

James I like the AM kit, i have built it, however it is an early B25, not a J. It does have flaws, like the windows on side of fuselage, and incorrect cowls. You will need a cutting edge cowl kit to make them look right, the opening and cowl lip shape is not accurate. Also the exhaust parts on AM are wrong. It has typical 1990s fit. This new HK is very exciting, in that it will be a modern tooled kit! I dont know of accuracy issues with the 132 kit, im not in that scale, but these CAD pics look like a b25j! JFM148
Great news. I hope it is not a Monogram copy with recessed detail. From what I have seen on their 1/32 models and other Chinese manufacturers, details are not as good as Monogram when they try to replace some of their models. I would love to be proven wrong. Cheers ! 1
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Hopefully we’ll get an “H” out of the molds. Id love to do an Army one to go with my Marine PBJ-1H.
SAT69
The armor on both sides of the fuselage looks awfully thick. Is that an illusion or is the thickness in fact correct?

I agree, it does look a bit thick to me, but I'm no Mitchell expert. Regards, Jason

The edges are beveled, making it look thick. 1

Yes I think the light is catching the edge and making it look thicker , but I would imagine can be thinned if needed Edited August 30, 2022 by Julien

Try looking at b25 Dog Daize. It looks like the hk model. Wonder if there were different levels of armor? Certainly we need to beware restored b25s. I looked at two restored b25s. spruecutter96
From what I've read, the 1/32nd B-25 is not perfect in all dimensions (what kit is? There are some issues with Tamiya's 1/32 models, too). I have two of the big Mitchells sitting in my stash and the inaccuracies bother me not one iota. The fact is, they will look like their intended subject once made up. It's high time that we had a modern-moulding 1/48th Mitchell. I think this will sell well for Hong Kong Models. Cheers. Chris.
Tokyo Raider
I have been walking on air for the last day, so excited for this HK offering. I will buy several of them. Legend makes a 5 man B25 crew figures. I have a set already, cant wait for this kit! Edited August 31, 2022 by Tokyo Raider
Rakovica
OMG this could be the most important 1/48 WW2 announcement for years, maybe even more than Tamiya recent P-38J. I'm so happy about this! 😃 Hope that more info and details will be available soon, like the nose options etc. Anyway, thank you HK for this one, now I can finally pair my ICM Invader with a modern Mitchell kit. Tiger331
GREAT !........I've been holding off buying the Old Monogram/Revell kit in the hope that someone would come along and produce something akin to the Accurate Miniatures B-25C/D Mitchell. IMHO, there are a lot more attractive colour schemes/marking options available for the B-25J than the earlier variants so I will be looking forward to this release, for sure. It will make a nice companion to my early variant MTO B-25 Mitchell.

Homebee
Several boxings/variants should be in preparation. A quick look at the Hong Kong Models US importer (Merit International LTD) facebook shows the image from one of the probable future box art. Rakovica
Thanks! The first one is obviously some of the 345th BG "Air Apaches", it seems like "041" to me. If so, it should be B-25J 43-36041 "Cactus Kitten". 😇
