Josep Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Hello fellows, Let me show some pics of my last model, the Tamiya King Tiger (Porsche Turret). I've tried to reproduce the camo scheme that is shown in the Tankmuseum... Here the real thing: All the build was easy, as is usual in Tamiya, and the only problem I had were with the zimmerit. But that was my fault...🤫 Apart from this, I'm pretty glad with the whole result, I hope you like it! I left out the right front fender. As you can see, I put and extra chain in the left side of the turret. And one slight layer of mud in wheels ans fenders. Your comments will be welcomed. And thanks for watching!! Josep 12
Rad2474 Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Great looking build, very well done. I was at the tank museum last year an amazing place.
dov Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Hallo It looks generally good. If you want to improove something? Take a flat varnish. I recomend Gunze CX 113 or 114. 114 is smooth flat, 113 is more rough. Happy modelling
edjbartos Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 I really do like that, the camo looks great, well done... Ed
IanC Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Nicely done camo. I agree that a coat of matt varnish would finish it off nicely. 👏
Whitewolf Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 (edited) Very nice indeed!! What colour did you use on the exhaust pipes? Bit of a mystery regarding colour in service as many pics show them the same colour as the bodywork to start with, but I love that clearly heated, used look Edited September 17, 2022 by Whitewolf
flounder_al Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Excellent work there Josep. Weathering looks spot on
Bertie McBoatface Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Heavy metal! Your painting really gives it weight. Supertiger!
