Popular Post AndrewCJ50
Dear Colleagues I made this Airfix Whitley MkV of 58 Squadron Linton on Ouse 1940 before lockdown. I looked again and thought I could improve a little on the finish using Ammo oilbrushers and dry brush paint. So had another go and then gave a second coat of flat. Not quite nailed the photography, as these large aircraft are something of a challenge. Interested to hear your thoughts? TallBlondJohn
Build, weathering and photography all look excellent to me. IMO most people over-weather wartime aircraft, they usually didn't last long enough to look tired. Just one thing - are the serials meant to look like that or are they out of register?

stevehnz
I like that, it's very nice, both model & photography. On both accounts, I reckon it is very convincing. Steve.

Big Dave S
Nice work. One of those crashed on the North York Moors during WW2. The site is visible, with bits of scorched aircraft on the ground.

noelh
I do, don't know why, it's not a pretty aeroplane. I have an Airfix Whitley which I intend to build as one which crashed in Galway bay literally within a couple of miles of where I sit right now. It's still there to this day. So are some of the crew. I can only echo the earlier comments. Very nice modelling. Edited August 28, 2022 by noelh

Pete Robin
Lovely rendition of a much overlooked aircraft. One of my distant rellies was a rear gunner on these beasties until moving on to Halifaxes. A very nice and convincing tribute to the very brave bods who went to war in these things.
