Sparking another CC's lunacy.....

IMG_20220826_131752

I already commited this one....

WP_20190514_23_08_26_Pro

Let's start by the one who will stand beside the Sea fury !!

IMG_20220826_131839

A Mk V embarked on HMS Glory

IMG_20220826_131914

Then a BPF one.... Operation Meridian is a good plan methink !!

IMG_20220826_132356

And then ? and then ? and then ?? Huhu !!

Some of you can be tempted to believe that I hate the Tirpitz....

Since after depicting operation Tungsten's aircrafts....

I go for operation Goodwood....

Here I have an Operation Mascot markings....

A bit of researches to see if there has been differents markings....

And on we are.....

IMG_20220826_132018

Sorry , Terry, no TT firefly in sight for the while....

But who knows ???

Well, it's definitely not serious, or responsible, or .....

But it's a way to enjoy one's stash, isn't it ??

Sincerely.

Firebox Frenesy...

You're speaking in tongues again CC...what's going on old chum? The Firefly was a bit of a beast, not quite as bestial as the Barracuda, but darn close. Be interesting to see how you progress with these...will follow at a safe distance....just in case, tin hat on.

I’d say “what have I done?” But I know you don’t need much of a nudge to start a new build. Looking forward to this. I can use your build to see what I have to fix on mine. 😃

How dare you Sir!

The Firebox is a magnificent and elegant flying machine, the other thing is a shed.

By heavens there will be fisticuffs at dawn if these scurrilous outbursts proceed.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hello hello !!

IMG_20220925_202211

Typical CC's kit box.... Goodies, parts from a previous build and docs....

If someone has to buy my stock, he will be surprised....

There are sometimes 2 kits in one box......

Well, my friend @The Spadgent reproduce Lucy Quipment...

I saw Evelyn Tentions done a few weeks ago....

IMG_20220925_203058

I think that I'll go for "4K" and her irregular roundels.....

Let the fun begin !!

Sincerely.

Not daft at all; there are excellent Wolfpack sets available to fold Mk1 or Mk4/5 Fireflys.  They’re not cheap, but the Firefly wing fold  was a complicated arrangement (designed to keep the folded aircraft as small as possible), so Wolfpack ended up having to provide complete resin outer wings as well as the internal fuselage section exposed by the wings.

I have the Mk.1 set, and the fit is excellent (albeit the required surgery on SH’s styrene is not trivial)

I'm always up for a Firefly. However, with all the builds you have on the go, you must have a work bench the size of an aircraft carrier's flight deck! We have had to get the builders to come in and add an extension to the Naughty Corner. An invoice for the work will be winging its way to CC Manor in the near future.

A Nimitz class one to be precise....

Man, they have unfeasibly huge fridge on that ship....

So plenty of rocket fuel at hand...

Save the invoice for later since Memsa is already mad at me, I mean a bit more than usual.... :cheers:

Hi, CC -

Did you ever do a WIP for the very nice Korean War Mk. 1 you showed us?  I'm only asking 'cos your photo rang a bell and I found the Mk. 1 'Home Fleet' boxing in my stash  If ever I get round to building it I'm going to do the Operation Mascot aeroplane (5M/Z1830, of 1770 FAA Squadron embarked on HMS Indefatigable.

I've searched the forum hoping to find your Mk. 1 but no luck!

I'll watch you new build(s) for clues!

Best,

Jonny
