theplasticsurgeon
My first Blitzbuild This Novo Miles Master III, bought at IPMS Avon show in 2021. Parts, though I'll present an interestingly timestamped photo of parts at the start line. I've deburred and removed all the flash, and dunked the canopy in Klear. And my colour option. I could well obtain a model size copy of that plan, prepared as an airbrush mask.
theplasticsurgeon
My first commitment to a Blitzbuild, and I'm very uncertain of my strategy. Having now retired, I think it's time to admit that very late nights should be behind me, which rules out the The Superhero Option. The Sidekick is still an option, other than Jet Age might need me on the Sunday. There's an important gap in the roster. I will fill that if nobody else steps forward. Leaving me as a Great Escaper. No real ideas how this might go, and very weather dependant for drying the paint quickly.
JOCKNEY
Congratulations on your retirement The kits a good one but, the decals are likely display purposes only ! So you might need to raid the spares box. Cheers Pat 3
Jinxman
Welcome to the world of Blitzbuild. The only strategy I have is to give paint the maximum time to dry. Usually overnight, and it means taking the Great Escape option more often than not. However, I have borrowed my daughter's food dehydrator for the weekend to try speeding up the drying process. I may not make it to Monday if she pops in and sees what it is being used for..... 2
theplasticsurgeon
Preparation being key, I've scale copied the paint-plan to same size as the model, and sliced it up ready for use. Checking my paints is showing that a fresh tin of H29 Dark Earth would be prudent.

helios16v
Prudent step checking required supplies. I ended up not having 75% of the exterior colors for a build I was leaning towards.

Some steps to be performed early, in prep for use later. Oh and tomorrow the food prep.

I'm lucky this time around - proper meals as my partner is here. My normal Blitzbuild diet of Pot Noodles, toast, and cups of char will have to be put to one side this time around - perhaps not the cuppas though.

Sounds good to me, were I not diabetic I’d probably go that way. Unfortunately Swmbo is in work from 9.00am to 6.00pm so it will only be me the dog and the cat on Saturday, what a shame Catering will be whatever non carb food I can grab between blitzbuild sessions. I'm ready.

What a time to discover a short-shot! 09:52, soldiering on with airframe assembly. 09:53, wingtip repair job. Not a fully certified repair, but enough to limp on to the end. 09:59, underside, seam filling. And my wingtip excuse again. 10:11 further prep of parts that will be used later.
