Marklo
This is the kit. But I’m going to go for a different scheme one if these three. Philippine. Chinese Guatemalan, actually remained in service till 1957! The Philippine is probably my favourite followed (probably because it’s unusual to see a peashooter in camo)by the Guatemalan, I have a few days to make up my mind. Marklo
Not so much a sprue shot as a bag of bits. Raised panel lines and rivets they’ll have to go. The only saving grace is that the rescribe should be fairly simple. Does sanding off the panel lines count as cleaning up the major parts ? Marklo
I think I’m going for the Philippine scheme.

Marklo
Now I’m hedging. Actually I think I’ll print off all three sets and decide the scheme based on how well the build goes, ie if I’m stuck for time Chinese if I have time for three colours Philippine…

Thanks, Still can’t decide on which scheme, hmmm My head says the Chinese scheme, it’s still different but easier, but my heart says the Philippine because a Peashooter in camo is really different. Now I’ve bought a pale grey rattle can which would do for the undersurface of the Philippine scheme or the whole of the Chinese one ( the colour is called Houdini for what it’s worth) so I’ll probably make my decision based on where I am timewise when I get to the rattle can. Marklo
The model is but an extension of myself, well not really but you know what I mean. And no I haven’t been drinking(yet) but I am on a surprising variety of medications Edited August 26, 2022 by Marklo
Marklo
Not sure if the interior should be aluminium, chromate or cockpit green, so I decided to go with green. Let that dry then some assembly.
Marklo
assembled more or less. Breakfast next.
Marklo
Tape off. Filler on; perfect plastic putty. Filler ‘sanded’ with a damp cotton bud. Go for a walk with the dog then it’s scribing time.
