SimonL
Thanks John, I tried as you suggested with some Tamiya Metallic Grey, perhaps too subtle? I’m wary of making it look too “silvery”. 3 hours ago, Model Mate said: I think the washes on the running gear look just right - the rest just needs to get a similar treatment. All in all, looking really nice Well has a go this evening, what do you think? Still some minor pin washes to do and a final coat of dust. I’ve added the pre-painted tow cable as well.

FrancisGL
Hi Simon, Nice progress,as @Bullbasket comments, use a graphite pencil...easy and nice finish...although try not to touch it because it gets lost easily...I do it at the end, when it is unlikely that I will "handle" the model...lol. Cheers and TC Francis.👍
SimonL
Well other than sorting the headlights and a radio antenna this is pretty much done. I added all the prepainted tools, some light chipping on the fuel cans and rack and then followed up by a wash of Vallejo Desert Dust Model Wash (undiluted). Once that was dry I gave it a brushed on coat of Tamiya flat base mixed in with floor polish, may need a few touch ups. And here it is in black and white.

SimonL
An extra coat of my dwindling supply of Italeri Acryl Flat Coat gave me the really matt finish I was after, and stretched sprue antenna and I’m calling time in this one. A bit grubbier than I intended, but it was a fun build. I’ll post some more pics in RFI when I get a chance to take some photos in the sunshine. Thanks for following along, and for the helpful advice and support along the way.

danbuoy
Lovely looking model. The Stuart certainly scrubs up well in the Caunter scheme.
