Sabrejet
Finished! This is my 1/48 Airfix/Academy F-86F, using the wings from the former and fuselage from the latter, plus a scratch-built cockpit and seat, using leftovers from a couple of Sabre conversions. Toryu
The matching of two kits looks absolutely flawless - well done! I like the fine NMF and the appealing decoration.
Terry1954
Absolutely superb result Duncan. The colour scheme and metallic variations look the biz. Love it! Must take a look at some of the 1/48 F-86 offerings myself, although still have a few 1/72 to get sorted. Terry
SAT69
Beautiful build and I really like the markings. Do you know what squadron and wing that airplane represents?

28ZComeback
Beautiful work. Would you share with us your method for NMF? I read the build thread quickly and couldn't discern which brand of natural metal paint. By the way, I have seen fescalised goat served in Sparti. Sabrejet
Paint is just Mr Color No.8 Silver with varying parts of white or black to lighten/darken. Thinned to maybe 25% thinner and 75% paint, sprayed on at 30psi. Model was primed with Mr Surfacer 1200 and sanded with a worn 2500 grade micromesh cloth before top coat. 1
Biggles87
Excellent finish, I always have trouble with the inner wing areas but yours look just right to me. John 🇺🇦

Winded Penguin
For me, this model belongs to someone who's just blitzed a mastermind-style quiz with their specialist subject being 'the F-86 Sabre' 👍

Unfortunately, even if I got past the first round I'd be stymied at the next one because I don't know anything else!
