I know that enamels aren't for everybody but they are great paints and I'm lucky that they are produced just up the road a bit. I did manage to get a coat of Light Slate grey on the lower wings. I then added a drop of Middle Stone to lighten the ribbing a tad. AliGauld Posted November 15, 2022 Author Share Posted November 15, 2022 I thought I was going to get the Dark Slate Grey on the top wings today but when I looked at them to mask them up I had painted the Sky on the wrong side. So, out with the Sky and the first coat was laid down. There are a few almost pinholes in the paint which will need rubbed down before a second coat. It's still drying so I'll see if I need to give it another coat when it's dry then redo the ribbing. Then the centre top part got some paint. I'll try to get some Dark Sea Grey and Extra Dark Sea Grey done tomorrow. I'm still finding I don't have a particularly good 'feel' for them yet. I feel deeply and irrevocably traumatised by that out-of-alignment rib leading to the aileron actuator. Keep moving and do it as many times as it takes until you get the effect you want.
