Will find myself an ocean, Sail into the blue - Trumpeter 1/32 Fairey Swordfish MK.I

Top notch dirtying up, I’m astonished at how you can bring something so mundane (and presumably so small, even in 1/32) as that tarpaulin to life with just a bit of colour. Is that it sitting over the top of the gubbinses in the gunners cockpit by the way?

Craig.

Thanks Craig

That's it sitting just above the radio assembly.

Chris

Thanks Chris

I'm pretty much winging it but it looks OK so far.

A small update,

I started on the IP yesterday and on getting up this morning I got this.

Still I have a plan.

A little touch up to take out the red overpaint.

e2OmPy9.jpg

I'll see how that settles but it should look OK in position.

It'll need a flat coat and some Krystal Klear in the dial faces.

The cockpit gun was given a Gun metal paint and a wash.

The fuel tank was glued together and a little seam work done but as it'll never be seen again after the fuselage is closed up I'm not going overboard.

Some green bits.

And the last Cockpit internal part.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Chros

Thanks Chris,

Not much will be visible anyway.

I'll be glad to get this last night shift out of the way tonight and be able to get back to it.

Cheers,

Alistair

All looks good from here Alistair.

Yep, we paint and glue parts into builds that hardly get seen at all, but you know that they are there...

Stay safe.

Simon.

Thanks Simon,

Absolutely.

Cheers,

Alistair

Another minor update.

A matt coat to the IP and Krystal Klear in the dials.

Fuel tank painted and bulkhead fitted.

The rear frameworks fitted to fuselage.

And a wee dry fit just to keep my mind focused.

Thanks for looking,

Oooh, I'm liking that instrument panel, it looks very authentic.

Colin

Thanks Colin,

It looks quite good but it will probably never be seen again once the fuselage is buttoned up but we'll know it's there. ;)

Cheers,

Alistair

For a themed 'ocean build', this one is coming along swimmingly 🥸

Sorry, I'll get my coat!

Thanks very much.

All looks quite swell.

The dry fit has gone well.

Stay safe.

Simon.

Thanks Simon,

The fit is really good so far.

Of course all that will change when there's glue involved.

Cheers,

Alistair
