glibble
Hello All, I built this T-62A purely as a painting/weathering exercise. The paint scheme with the Ukrainian flags is entirely fictional.😉 I'm really inexperienced with weathering, so I focused on the following: Wash, dry brush, fake shadows/highlights - All done with oil paint Chipping and rust stains - Vallejo acrylics and home made enamel mix Streaks - Again with oil paint Dust and mud - Light mist of Tamiya buff, then AK enamels and pigments Oil stains - Just thick oil paint, but I chickened out this time after seeing huge tide marks 🙁 I probably overdid the weathering in some places, but I treat this project as a practice. Please let me know what you think about the weathering job. Thanks for watching! Lastly, like they say at the end of movies: This is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual tanks, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental and does not represent any political views.
ModelMonkey
Weathering and attention to detail - exhausts, large fuel tanks and chips look perfect to me! I've got the same kit in the stash and was thinking of a similar tribute, possibility with some of the new Masterbox figures. Great work.
xebec
That is a very impressive job. The chipping and rust are just excellent.
Stef N.
I like that. The weathering, chipping and wear and tear has been done subtly and really well. Great work.👍
BerndM
The paintjob with the weathering effects look very convincing to me.
