Roland Pulfrew
Doing some painting today and was struggling to get the paint to go where I wanted. When I cleaned the brush after use, I noticed this: Any suggestions on the issue? Bent needle? Bent nozzle? Replacement of both required? Any suggestions gratefully appreciated. Bertie McBoatface
First give it a really good clean. You can get that effect from a tiny bit of muck on the side (inside) the nozzle. And if you can’t see that the needle and nozzle aren’t bent, they probably aren’t.

Casey
And look at needle through some magnifying glass. It may be bent so slight it cant be seen otherwise. Edited August 7, 2022 by Casey
Panzersgt
Bent needle. Put the needle in a drill so that about 3 inchs are poking out , thats if the chuck is deep enough. stick some 1000 grit wet and dry to a good solid flat surface, a tile or glass is best. then gently run the needle on it at a shallow angle, 1 or 2 degrees until the bur on the end is nice and smooth. Failling that buy a new one.
theplasticsurgeon
My airbrush had a similar, though less extreme pattern, which I lived with until the nozzle cracked. I replaced the nozzle, needle and aircap (crown) - which sorted it out. I was able to try both needles, which made no difference - so that was straight. Trying both Aircaps revealed the difference. Has the airbrush ever been dropped?
