New Tool Airfix 1:48 Buccaneer S2C/D

Recommended Posts

Beautiful build of what looks to be a beautiful kit! Now if only they would downscale it to 1/72nd scale. Oh, right they already did. Sorry, I wrote that out of reflex.

Regards,

Jason

Congratulation on this magnificant built!

Most brillian Buccaneer I have ever seen!

I used to prefer RAF desert storm scheme better but your work has convinced me to buy the RN version.

Hope it will land in China soon...and not so expensive. ;)

Cheers,

Yufei

Great model. A work of art well done, it’s a pleasure to see such talent.

I remember watching the Buc's in the seventies getting their wheels wet during the Martel trials on the Ark Royal.

Squeaky bottom time, such a  heavy launch as they disappeared below the flight deck off the cat and waiting to see if they would rise again.

Cracking build(s) 👍

The unboxing reviews of the new release make the kit look like a mouthwatering proposition for anyone who doesn't already have a Buccaneer in their stash (me).

And in 1/48 scale it's 40cm long I believe, so quite a lot of model to account for the sticker price.

To Paraphrase Obi-Wan Kenobi:

"I've felt a disturbance in The Force. As if millions of people who were whining about the price of the new Airfix Buccaneer cried out in a single voice, and were suddenly silenced."

You've inspired me to add a few grey hairs to my financial overseer and order one for myself....

With my Jadlam points - a nice discount has also been applied... softens the damage a little ;)
