Chris -

Fantastic work as ever, mate!

I have this kit in my stash and this will most likely be my next project once I have finished my current one.   I'm to read this is a good kit from Airfix - any issues I need to be aware of?

Regards

Dave

Thanks Dave, very kind too.  You are going to love it, Airfix have produced another cracker with this one ,  no vices to speak of, the only thing I found wrong was the lower set of levers on the Port side cockpits as they should be in the same place and linked, however they face different directions.  I did use some resin extra bits but only wheels and the top of the fuel tank and some Eduard PE, but again not much along with some small scratched bits. Just enjoy.

Hi,

this is the modelling level we all dream of... And keep on dreaming about.

Stupendous result! Congrats!!!

I am building this kit at the mo, and I now feel rather subdued.

But it is a beautifully engineered kit and a pleasure to tinker with.

Super well done.

JR

Thanks Jean, really kind.  Don't be subdued   enjoy the wonderful kit.  It is beautifully engineered as you say and a pleasure to build.

There were a couple of points where I nearly put it aside but that was due to my additions for the rudder control cables and no fault of the kit. Keep up the good work with your one  will catch up with it again soon too.

Love  a well built Tiger Moth. SOme fine work there. BUt i need to ask... is thata light grey finish with the T bands? I believed them to be silver dope

Thank you Paul, it is Humbrol 56 Aluminium enamel paint. It looks good in the light but it could be yhe black backround perhaps. Very pleased with way it turned out though.

Thanks Guys for those lovely comments

Chris

I've said it before but its worth repeating, I don't know how you get such a smooth paint finish without using an airbrush?

she looks really, really nice 👍

I'm very tempted by this Airfix kit

Thanks John , I love the painting bit, trying to emulate a decent paint job by brush is a great challenge. One day I will get there!

John grab one and give it a go,  you will love it.  I have a further 3 more in the stash:whistle:

What an absolute belter.

You make me want to pull my Tiggie out and get on with it.*

Lovely build Chris, the details and weathering are spot on!

I thought of this build at the weekend when I had an unexpected trip into the Solent Sky museum. One will get added to the stash in the not too distant 👍

Awesome work!

Rigged subjects are scary but you nailed it!

👍

Thanks Kapam, very kind of you. I used to think the same, but had a go and found it enjoyable,  it is a great feeling when the rigging starts to go on and really starts to bring the model to life.

Thank you

Chris

Really great job on the moth. It was lovely to be a doing a side by side with you on this one. The outdoor shots are my favourite, the light really catches the detail and quality in the build. Bravo. 👏👏👏👏
