Ořechov 2022 reenactors event.

Yesterday, July 30, 2022, Two groups of reenactors KVH Dukla and KVH Liberator,they organized in the Army Park near Ořechov near Brno. Dynamic demonstrations on the topic, Operation Barbarossa and Operation Bagration. The weather was rather not Barbarossa, it was raining and mud appeared everywhere in no time. As is well known, the day of the start of Operation Barbarossa was warm and sunny. The demos themselves can be rated as very good. The commentary, centered on the stories of two conscripts, also contributed to the portrayal of the period atmosphere. Tomas Junkins, a Latvian conscripted into the Red Army, and Silesian Werner Litschka, a former soldier of the Czechoslovak Republic Army conscripted into the German Wehrmacht. The destinies of the two protagonists of the story were intertwined in different ways, which made the events interesting. This commentary complemented the events on the screen very well.

Operation Barbarossa

 

First combat demonstration, Operation Barbarossa. On the polygon we see everyday life on the Soviet-German border. The attempt of anti-Nazi resistance fighters to cross the border into the Soviet Union, where nothing good awaits them, the first interrogation by NKVD members. Later stay in camps, fighting for the freedom of their counties, in the national units on the Soviet-German front. Preparation for the attack, from the German side, the attack itself. Finally, the treatment of prisoners, including the execution of political commissars. The first meeting of the German army with the T-34/76 tank. The last photo shows a soldier who lost a field bottle in the heat of battle and was punished for losing it.
