Seamus
Afternoon all, Covid has presented me with some unexpected spare time over the last week, and I've been able to get this little beauty from Arma Hobby finished... Not much to say that hasn't already been said, a delightful kit in every regard. Built completely from the box, not that anything else is really needed, and finished using Hataka Orange Line. Bedders
Lovely job. Nice shade of Olive Drab too. I have one of these kits - it looks so good that it's almost a pity to cut the sprues... Justin

112 Squadron
A beautiful model of a P-51! The weathering is suberb. 👍 It is indeed a great tribute to James H. Howard who was initally flying for the US Navy before the war and eventually enlisted in the AVG. He was credited with six Japanese aircraft during his tour with the Flying Tigers hence the Japanese kill marks on his plane. Thereafter he enlisted in the USAAF and was sent with the 354 FG to the UK. Howard received the Medal of Honor for defending bombers of the 401st BG against the Luftwaffe on January 11 1944. He remained in the USAF after the war and retired as Brigadier General in 1966.
