Someone on here (who shall remain nameless) made some decals for me a few years ago but even he admitted they were substandard. In fact most of them were pixalated, badly printed and pretty much unusable and as far as I can see mostly inaccurate. Anyway after putting it on the back burner for many years I'm trying to finish it off in a 70/80s colour scheme. I've got a few photo's such as the following ....... https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/registration/WE113 but I need as many references as possible to finally finish it off. I particularly need some stencil references (very similar aircraft might do) and especially need some top and underside photo's. I'll probably be finishing it off in this 1989 scheme..... https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1045992 It looks like the aircraft has been repainted even in the 70s and 80s a few times judging by these photo's ..... For instance the camouflage/stencils on the left side are slightly different in this 1982 photo .... https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/5612549 to this..... https://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/000757472.html and also the letters WE113 are on the underside of the wings in the 1982 photo..... https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/5612549 whilst on this later 1991 photo (top of the page) the letters appear to have been painted over and the 70/80s roundels are there instead. http://www.simplyplanes.co.uk/english_electric_canberra_cockpits.shtml I've got some spare decals which I'd like to use to replace the substandard ones that were made for me (I've replaced the red warning and red cross decals on the right front side like in the1989 photo again... https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1045992 but I'd like to know exactly what the stencils etc are (wording etc). Ones I've got so far are as follows...... Top triangle (next to the main door) I've got as "canopy" Triangle below it as "ejection seat" .............. On the left front hand side I've got...... "canopy" near the front of the fuselage (next to "entrance other side") and "ejection seat" not above it but next to it. Is that correct? More questions to follow. canberraman Posted July 30, 2022 Share Posted July 30, 2022 I forgot to mention also that there are numerous close up b&w images of WE113 among others in Linewrights Aeroguide 7 'Canberra' which was published some years ago, but is still readily available.
