AFV camo: Taiwan's CM-34 Clouded Leopard

Personally - as a Tamiya paint user - I'd take a punt on XF68 NATO Brown, XF69 NATO Black and XF73 JGSDF Dark Green (or XF65 Field Grey) - not so sure about the lighter green but I'd probably play around with adding XF4 Yellow Green to a base of XF58 Olive Green.

It's tough to be sure as the vehicle looks like it's positioned in a building atrium and would therefore be lit by both natural light (from above and/or large windows) and artificial light (look at the upwards shadows cast by some of the bolts).

Hi have this kit in the stack and have been angst over the colours for ages and have up with the following:

Leather Brown is listed as FS 30051 and is NATO Brown as above XF 68 or Lifecolor UA302 I am favouring XF 68

Bronze Green is listed as FS34094 and is NATO Green XF 67

Tar Black is listed as FS37030 and is NATO Black XF 69

Russian Green (1) which is the one you are most likely after. This is a tough colour but I have figured it is close to lifecolor UA258 4BO flashed shade which is somewhat difficult to get therefore I am split between Vallejo Model Air 71.009 Eau de Nil, Mig  A.Mig 0935 Russian Shine and Citadel Nurgling Green and slightly favouring Eau de Nil.

hope this helps

Hi there!

To amplify demiles' comment above, I couldn't find any Taiwanese sites that recommend any colours other than the NATO ones mentioned in the previous post.

Taiwan might have chosen to use NATO colours for its own vehicles:

In Taiwan, these paint sets are sometimes advertised in conjunction with CM-34 kits (however, while they may be suitable for older generation vehicle colours, I can't speak to whether or not they are correct for the Clouded Leopard - my money would be on the six-bottle 'Neo' set, particularly for the brighter green colour):

Here is a colour guide from the 1/35 CM-34 kit:

Plus, a colour guide for other vehicles in the family (same colours, 'though).

Hopefully, at some point in the future, there will be a mask set for the CM-34, similar to these:
