Trumpeter 1/72 new tool Leopard 2 family

Always at the beginning of the year I try to carefully browse the web versions of the new HobbyBoss and Trumpeter catalogs. And there was no mention of the Leopard 2 in 1:72.

And here suddenly, a mid-year surprise - the new tool Braille-scale Leopard 2 from Trumpeter. Moreover -  in four boxes:

• 7190 - Bundeswehr Leopard 2A4
• 7191 - Bundeswehr Leopard 2A6
• 7192 - Swedish Strv 122 
• 7193 - Canadian Leopard 2A6M Can

Really an overflow problem 😢.  The only question is whether (and if so, in what areas) it will be better than the long-unavailable Dragon kit

Expect the Canadian Leopard all version are realized by Revell years before.

I seem to remember the 1/72 Dragon Leo A4 being better regarded than the Revell one. On the other hand, the Revell A5 and on (newer tools) are considered good kits.

 

We'll see how the Trump ones stack up. If they keep the current trend, they'll have a (much) lower parts count...
