Cheers Andrew Thank you all again everyone! As for a flying boat Gotha - that would be a very cool thing. Now you have me eyeing my Aviattic 1/48 Gotha package... Cheers again! obdl3945
Nice work, Brad. May I ask if you made the floats yourself, or are they accessory pieces? If the latter, what company makes them? Thanks, Paul
Brad Cancian
Thanks gents! Hi Paul - the floats came from a Hanriot HD2 float plane; Eduard makes this kit so I unashamedly stole them from one of those. I did modify the floats so that they didn't have the same spanwise slots across the tops of the floats for the mounting struts. I then drilled new holes for the struts and added these from brass rod. Cheers! BC
Wouter1981
I'm a big fan of WHIF's, and this one is great. I especially like those little troleys. They look so period correct!
stevehed
My eras are WW1 and between the wars with Whifs builds from both periods featuring regularly. An excellent build and fully appreciate the thought required to make it viable. Got to admit that a Dridekker floater hadn't crossed my mind. Well done. ColinChipmunkfan
Interesting idea, really well executed. Photographed with a backdrop in black and white this could really send some amateur historians into a state of confusion.🙂 Colin
Winded Penguin
What a delightful little cameo, with the decking and dolley etc. Altogether convincing 👍
