Good evening my friends

Thank you for your comments , the decals sheet is very nice but I may decide to go for another option depending of what i find in my decals sheet stash ..

Today I started by painting some parts but so far it is not very important ..

Best Regards

Today I Painted the Pavla resin seat

I placed the decals that represent the intruments of the instrument panel and sidewalls on their supports

I also glued together the parts that form the rear fuselage

Very nice work Patrice, the seat in particular looks excellent and the decals for the instruments look quite convincing.

Good morning Craig

Thank you for your comment and I agree with you the decals for the instrument are fat better than ithose of the original boxings ..

Good evening

Today I put some weight in the nose , I closed the 2 front fuselage halves and I also glued the front and rear fuselage

I will have to use some putty because the fit between the front and rear fuselage parts is not great ..

Best regards

Coming on very nicely Patrice.

The Italeri/ESCI F-5 goes together quite quickly doesn't it.

🇺🇦

Thank you Craig

Yes it goes together quickly but the front / rear fuselage ''joint'' will need some work and the use of some putty to obtain a good result , maybe I should have glued the front and rear half fuselage together before closing them together ..

Bonsoir Patrice,

great choice indeed! The F-5A is my favorite of all the F-5 family, so this is a thread I am going to follow.

Sadly I never managed to get this kit, but there is still tomorrow!

Great progress to date. Enjoy and find a nice paint scheme, as this kit deserves it.

Bonsoir Jean

Thank you for your comment .. With the release of the Italeri reboxe of the Esci kit I think that you will be able to get one and maybe build it for this Gb ...

Best Regards

@TEMPESTMK5 Patrice, I see you have decided on a scheme, a Norwegian one, but not the grey one in the new boxing. Looks a nice scheme. Is yours NMF or painted aluminium, can’t tell from the photo.

Chris

Good evening Chris

I agree with you it is not easy to tell from the photo but  the Esci building notice says to paint the kit in Humbrol Silver 11  I have found some photos on the net that show a NMF overall paint and I think that I will use an Humbrol Metalcote paint ...

Best Regards

Nice progress Patrice, even with the bit of filler needed she is going together well.

You are quite right about the colour scheme, Norwegian F-5's were painted in aluminium lacquer at the time the picture was taken, although I notice the fuel tank under the fuselage of the nearest aircraft is camouflaged.

That is looking good Patrice.
You are going for a Norwegian scheme?  I'm pretty sure their grey/silver aircraft swapped panels, the colours are inconsistent, even on the one airframe.
This seems typical: https://www.airliners.net/photo/Norway-Air-Force/Northrop-F-5A-Freedom-Fighter/1811352
