As I could not find another topic on this subject of pure speculation, thought I would raise one.

No idea what to expect to come out of Kent in a red box.

Will we see a 1/350 QEC?

Ark Royal IV (either 1:700 or more likely, 1:350) would go well with all their recent FAA jets.

So would a Gannet.

Hi

    not my area of interest

but they should try to get young modellers interested in the hobby

something like marvel, dc comics figures , fantasy figures or whatever the young people are into now

maybe then airfix will be around for many years

    cheers

Good idea, a range of Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90 and UFO vehicles.

Oh wait, you meant youngsters in body and not just mind…….

Would it be better if I just renamed the previous year's thread and winnowed out the kits that Airfix actually produced?  It'd save everyone copying and pasting their wishlists over and over? :wicked:

Don’t forget as modellers, we do tend to change our minds quite a bit.

But this thread is so fun every year,  I can complain all I want about not having a plastic kit of a Vulcan b1 from the last 60 years

Thought Revell had tried that with Star Wars stuff ?

Problem is that licensing fees put such products well beyond the reach of young modellers' pocket money.....

Mike, half the fun is trying to remember what was the 'must have, they will sell by the bucket load and the world needs this kitted' wish lists from last year, and it is fun seeing what has changed!

For my halfha'porth it is a 1/72 Gloster Javelin as they have done the research, and we can buy more of them and fit them in the same space as a single 1/48 one on the shelf (or in the stash).

I'd answer that but I've forgotten what I was going to say.

What about a Fiesler Storch or Me410? Airfix scanned the entire hangar they're in at Cosford for the RAF Museum and can use all the data they gathered, so these are surely possibilities? Me140 in 1/72 and Storch in 1/48 would be my bet if they did either of them. Both seem to be Airfix-ish subjects to cover

Now I definitely wouldn't mind Airfix doing a Me 410 in 1/72nd scale. That is a possibility since (lincoln) they scanned, as you say, (Lincoln) the entire hangar they're in at (LINCOLN) Cosford. All right, LINCOLN, LINCOLN, LINCOLN!

Jason (LINCOLN!)

Surely a model of the town of Lincoln is a bit niche, although not so much as a kit of its Avro namesake 😉🤣

You got that bit right, I only drop in because it is less painful than actual flagellation, the motivation is much the same though. ;) :D

I think I might want to see a Scuttlefish:

Should be doable.  Get the Tucano nose and add it to the Swordfish.  Makes for a great Club kit :P and it's carrier capable for QE or PoW as well!

C'mon Airfix, you know you want to :D
