Latakia
Has anyone used Holts Cataloy Knifing Putty in place of Tamiya grey putty as I am finding it near impossible to find in the UK, would it make a suitable replacement, what are your opinions. Many thanks in advance, Graham
dromia
Great stuff, keys well onto the plastic, minimal shrinkage, thin with cellulose thinner/ liquid polystyrene cement, finishes great. I use it for all filling save that which will need scribing, for which I use clear runner pieces dissolved in MEK.
Giorgio N
I've used this putty for a long time, bought in Halfords in the days when I lived in a country where they had shops. Agree with dromia, it works very well and I was always happy with it. I've stopped using the product only because now I can't find it as easily as I could back then, the day Halfords would open a shop around my city I'd buy it again.
Mr Bowcat
Used it for Zimmerit, worked well but goes off very quickly.

Steve Noble
If you can get Impa Finissage it is a much superior product in my honest opinion. About £6 the large tube lasts for ages
