Thanks gentlemen!

Yes Chris, she will be heavy but my shelf will be strong...

Well, hinges, a lot, holes, a lot and after that soon some wood pieces with... hinges!

Now I hate hinges, you should understand:

The turret bracket is also ready.

You are waiting for the turret? Me too...

An inarticulate reply from me: Your "hated hinges" sure look good 😄  wow - they certainly look the part, and, as always, the craftsmanship - they all sit flush to the surface and are square relative to one another and the body - wow!  "Wow" translated to "how did he do all that, keep it aligned, operable, and clean?"  Please keep posting your WIP!

Cheers and happy (upcoming) New Year!

All the wood parts are dry-fitted. I must paint these separately to obtain a sort of homogeneity with alu parts...

And happy new year!

Thanks Chris and Andy, your enthusiasm is much appreciated... It's a pleasure!

Turret story. I try once, twice, and OK, 1,5mm aluminum sheet is not suitable for a 160mm round turret,

even four parts! A really round turret...
So, I have to cheat. Down to 0,5mm to "dress" a 160mm plumbing pipe.

I'm sorry, but it's out of my competence. Let's go!

The Maxim bracket:

As you can see, two parts will be come...

To Jo...

Firstly I use rivets as general purpose:

Others are "fake"...
Holes, rivets hammered on the other side.

1,2mm aluminum rivets, with 2mm heads before hammered...

Thank you very much Nick for your kind comment! I follow your work on the 35, amazing.

You are in the new way of model maker, and myself in the past... I'm  close to 75 years old, it's not really surprising!

Forward to the finish ...

Maybe not as much as you think, I'm not far off 60 myself, don't let the tech fool you, us old guys invented computers after all.

I'm delighted you follow my meagre efforts BTW, thank you for the kind comments.

The Royce is superlative.

I'm not so sure, people will still be admiring your model 100yrs from now, not so sure this resin stuff will hold up so well 😁
