Arado Ar240 A-01 – Revell 1/72 Finished !

Recommended Posts

Given the small number of aircraft produced, almost every aircraft of this type had different technical or camouflage characteristics from the others. The model I am presenting to you today was operational in Russia, in the Kharkov area, in December 1942, assigned to 3./AGr.Ob.d.L.

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 06

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 08

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 14

The camouflage, carried out only by brush as always, was in the classic pattern in RLM 74/75/76,

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 34

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 29

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 49

with lower wing tips in yellow RLM 04, but without the yellow band on the fuselage typical of the oriental theater of operations.

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 70

Ar240 A-01 'GL+QA' 71

Hope you like it.
Thanks for your attention.

BTW - I am sorry to say it, the current war is about this statement: is the Kharkow area the Russia or the Ukraine?  In 1942 it  was  the occupied territory of Soviet Union...

The use of such maps also makes terms such as "Praha, Austria", "Poznań, Germany" and "Riga, Russia" true.

BTW was Verona in 1820 in the same country as Rome and Naples?

Cheers

That is absolutely superb

With the large canopy the detail work is still really visible in the front office and well worth the effort

What a great version of a very interesting aircraft

Congratulations!

Great to see such an interesting and unusual type modelled so well. This aircraft has intrigued me since I was a child, when I came across a grainy and touched up photograph of one in my Dad's WWII aeroplane scrapbook.
