Hopefully my two Century Series builds will be finished this week. My entry for this GB will be Trumpeter’s 1/48 T-38C Talon wearing the colours of NASA. Very interested to see how this goes together as I like the T-38. Jb65rams Posted July 24, 2022 Author Share Posted July 24, 2022 Cockpit assembled. Trumpeter provide decals for the panels, decided to paint them. Just cut out the part of the decal for the computer display. As hoped the kit went together well and quickly. A bit of tidying up and it will be ready for paint. Taking inspiration from the interweb photos I have found I will be finishing it with the rear canopy closed, front canopy raised with a single pilot. Jb65rams Posted August 13, 2022 Author Share Posted August 13, 2022 Picked up a rattle can of Humbrol Gloss White at the start of the week. Masked of the nose and leading edges to paint them black. Wasn’t happy with the edge I got on the wings so tidied it up with a thin black decal strip. Posting that photo I noticed I still have a bit of tidying up to do on the anti-glare panel. After a couple of evening mixing modelling time with watching the athletics I am calling this finished. Nice kit, goes together well.
