Falkland Frigates

I have today made a very belated start on the Amazon class frigate from Airfix's Falkland Warships triple set (1/600). I started the Devonshire many years ago and I fear that is lost for good.

 

The initial hull assembly was a bit of a faff but I think it went ok. Looks like I may need to pick up some putty however as there are a few gaps. I'm not sure if this down to my skill(or lack thereof) or an old and not great (cracked sockets, lots of flash) molding.

Very interesting. Will you be replacing the Seconshire or just doing the two that remain?

Gidday @SkyRider, did you know that there's a Falklands 40th anniversary GB running at present? But it has only about two weeks to run so you might be better to leave your WIP thread here. I don't think I'll get my Devonshire to Glamorgan conversion completed in time. I'll certainly be following your build here. Regards, Jeff.
