Mark Cassidy
Folks, I am building my first armour diorama and wanted the advice of anyone whos used resins to create a water effect, specifically Vallejo's Still Water. I did the first pour yesterday lunch time, its hardened on the top but went milky in the rutts , I wondered if it will eventually dry clear or if it will stay milky ? I did make sure I didnt pour to a depth of more than 3mm as per Vallejos instructions. I also noticed that I have managed to get some almost air bubbles up against the sides is it worth trying to burst them? Its not too much of a drama if it stays milky as I intend to darken down the following layers with Tamyia smoke to give it a murky look But just thought I would check with you folks 🙂 Thanks Mark
Rumblestripe
I've not used that particular product but I would expect it to turn clear over time (I guess it is acrylic?) A bit late now but yes you should try to burst bubbles if you see them if nothing else they will fill in with further layers of resin. I'd be interested to hear how this has turned out.
