dhilton
Will this event be an exhibition only or will there be talks and Q&A sessions about the art and craft of model making during the day from hobbyists as well as industry professionals ? Thanks.
spruecutter96
Hi, dhilton. I'm guessing you're referring to the Buckinghamshire "Smallspace" model-show, on Sunday 17th July? If my assumption is correct, the format of the show is a good mix of model-clubs and special-interest groups. Additionally, there will be a number of traders, including Tony James of Timeless Hobbies (Sci-fi, Real Space and movie/TV tie-ins are his area of expertise). The show is held in a relatively small village-hall - unfortunately, there not really enough space to provide an area for formal talks. Having said that, the club-members will likely be very pleased to pass on any hints and other advice, if you ask them. There will also be some guest-visitors from film and TV model-making - just walk up to them at their tables and have a chat. Matt Irvine, one of the organizers, made many well-known models for Dr. Who, Blake's Seven and numerous other shows, when he worked for the BBC. Further information on the HAMEX website. Hope this helps. Chris. Edited July 5, 2022 by spruecutter96 Correcting a typo.
