Airfix 1/32 Beach Buggy (A02412V) - A FAB 1 Conversion

Recommended Posts

My build of the Airfix 1/32 Beach Buggy (A02412V)

Having already converted an Airfix Beach Buggy to a six-wheeler, I decided to do another but this time with four front wheels like FAB 1 from Thunderbirds.

Methinks Parker and Lady Penelope are a tad underdressed. That is absolutely brilliant, and so is the four-seater. Absolutely brilliant.

Barking mad. More please. How about a half track then?

Very creative, Dave. Love them both. I think I still have the male figure knocking around somewhere from a '70's build!

I think you might need a larger steering wheel to get around corners and park on the FAB 1 version.

I was thinking that too. But also, wow I need to get me a buggy, apparently you get some mighty fine abs from riding those 😄

LOL🤣🤣🤣

Gidday Dave, they're both very creative and well done. Will you be taking up Pete's suggestion for a hat-trick, or threesome? Regards, Jeff.

That can only be described as Dagenham - two stops up from Barking!  Insane idea, again beautifully designed and executed.  I absolutely love ideas like this, especially when they're so well crafted.  We need more creative craziness like this.

As I was born in Romford and my mother still lives close to Elm Park Tube station, I know exactly what you mean, @Neddy 😄

Very well built, both of them. I'd had the idea of dong this on one of my AMT Meyers Manx kits with the four wheels at the rear!

"Parker.  Fetch the beach buggy,"

"Yes, m'lady,"

A very inventive build and executed in a way that makes you think the kit came that way.
