Out to the garage and there was some priming done, followed by preshading and some Flat Aluminium for chipping effects later.

Then I misted some Medium Sea Grey over the underside.

Once that dries a bit I'll do some lightening.

Thanks for looking,

The Medium Sea Grey was lightened with a couple of drops of Royal Light Grey and sprayed.

I'll let that dry and have a look in daylight if it needs a thinned overspray I'll do that tonight if not masking next and some upper colours.

Thanks for looking,

Looking good Alistair.  You might have inspired me to do a Spitfire next, I have an Eduard Mk.IX that I’ve got an idea for.

Thanks Mark,

A Spitfire do tell more.

Thanks Roger,

That's very kind seeing as I've pinched your techniques. :wicked:

Just caught up Alistair, fine work.

Those annoying seam marks can be a pain but you got there.

Stay safe.

Simon.

Thanks Simon,

Hope you're keeping well.

Cheers,

Alistair

Dark Green applied to the MK.IXc. After that a drop or two of Flat Green was mixed in for lightening purposes.

There are one or two touch ups needed but after those I'll mask up for the Sky Band and then the Invasion Stripes.

I should get the Mk.IXe done tomorrow.

Thanks for looking.

Alistair

Looking good Alistair! I normally put the Sky down first (don't know why, but it works for me!)

Thanks Roger,

That would make more sense as it would only need masked once.

I'll try that in the future.

Smooth paintwork Alistair.

BTW they are I.D. Stripes not Invasion ones.

Stay safe.
