JackG Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Contents of Meng's 1/35 scale jeep: \ Some after market, Passion Models PE (designed for Tamiya) and resin tires from Trex. The subject will be a HQ vehicle. General Harry Crerar was often pictured at the wheel of the jeep. He was Canada's highest ranked field commander during the war in NWE. regards, Jack 7
zebra Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Nice choice. General Crerar is another Canadian I'm going to have to read up on. 1
JackG Posted July 26, 2022 Author Posted July 26, 2022 Missed ten days at the bench with a family member visiting, but finally got in to cut some sprue. Steps 1 through 3 are done, essentially the engine construction in two stages followed with it's attachment to the vehicle frame. Skipped to Step 7, which was just a single part comprising the muffler, exhaust pipe, and and protective bottom plate. This totaled 14 parts. Next up will be Steps 4 through 6, the front and rear axles, drive shaft and leaf springs. It looks to be a nice detailed little kit, but the amount of clean up on round parts is not cool. My kit looks like the molds slipped slightly, resulting in a lot of seams everywhere. regards, Jack 9
