John Masters
I'm impressed that you took this Roden kit as far as you have. The issue with the fit of the lower wing (not to mention all the other engineering gaffs) was enough for me to bin these kits, as finely detailed as they may be. I was very happy when Eduard released their own versions. Yours is looking very good and bravo with the lozenge camo. You have done what I have never been able to do with Roden decals.

Previous to that discovery I’ve had a horrible time with Roden decals. The other trick is microscale liquid decals I’ve successfully used this to bring old decals back from instant disintegration on contact with water. 81-er
Very nice, Marklo. Is there much left before it's finished? James

Guns, prop and cabane struts, upper wing tapes and crosses and I think that’s it. I’m aiming to finish it this week.

Marklo
Eek 11 days to go better get these two moving. The Fokker only needs a few hours, but the Dolphin is barely started, at least the paintwork will be easy…

Marklo
The Day login is in the bench. Interior gubbins assembled. Sadly most will be invisible once the fuselage is zipped up.

Marklo
Fuselage zipped up. It’s a lovely little kit. I’m even liking the PE. My only gripe is that the instructions keep trying to sell you more aftermarket….
81-er
It certainly looks nicely detailed, Marklo. I love the wicker seat James

Marklo
After a coat of Tamiya field gray and three coats of AK PC10 late. Time for some PE and the struts.
Marklo
Can’t find the inner interplane struts so nothing else for it, replacements Andre from 2mm styrene sheet. that’s the interplane struts and associated PE fitted. I’ll put on the upper strut rigging brackets next and rig it before fitting the top wing. I’ll use black EZ-line for the job.
Marklo
Rigging done. Let that set them I can fit the upper wing.
Marklo
The Dolphin is now complete. Of course the upper wing wouldn’t fit as I had completely forgotten to allow for the stagger, so I ended up taking the struts off attaching the cabane struts then refitting the interplane struts and finally re rigging the whole thing. Still pleased with the end result.
zebra
A fantastic pair of builds Marklo and two very distinctive models that I wasn't expecting in the GB - the D.VII in particular!
