CliffB
Airco DH.9A - part of the first trans-Canada flight (October 1920). The model represents the ex. RAF aircraft that, in Canadian civil use, flew the final leg (Winnipeg to Vancouver), of the first trans-Canada flight. It's a Shed Models, 1/200 scale white metal & photoetch kit, finished with spares box decals. I've added a small amount of rigging (just for effect), using stretched sprue. ErikT
Just put the last touches on my tiny, tiny entry. She may not be the biggest girl here, but she definitely looks the dirtiest! And I still can't find that missing nose wheel!

Marklo
Roden 1/48 Fokker DVII in no 1 Squadron colours, OAW factory finish with the squadron emblem in green on the fuselage. Flown side by side with Sopwith Dolphins during 1919 apparently the Fokker was the preferred plane.

stevehnz
A CI (Hobbycraft) Avro Canada CF-100 Mk 4, in 440 sqn 1 Air Division colours. Build log here. An enjoyable build that I stepped out of my comfort zone in a couple of areas & was ok with how things went. Painted with Humbrol 163/106/129, not quite according to the directions but it gave me the look I was wanting for these. I used Canmilair decals which fitted where they needed to very well, the blue in the roundels was a little paler than maybe it should have been but not as bad as I was worried about, a bit more worrying was the white layer just peeking out from under the blue layer, not badly but just noticeable. I took the directions at face value & slathered on the microscale decal seal, which has made where I trimmed them a little too thick, a lesson to be learned there The whole process of the build & finding out about the "Clunks" was most instructive, they weren't quite the ugly duckling I'd long imagined them to be but rather a very capable swan. Thanks to @zebra & @JeroenS for a very enjoyable GB, it was great to have their involvement & encouragement & take my word for it, it does make a difference. Without, further ado, my take on the "Clunk" Steve.

Decals are a mixed bunch . Paints Tamiya and Humbrol acrylics . Short commings and errors by me, The aircraft represented is CF-TKD of Air Canada . It passed to Air Holdings who leased it to Air Viking (TF-AVA) then Invicta International ( G-AXOY) before finishing it's days in Indonesia . I would like to thank our esteemed hosts for encouragement and for making another great GB . I would also like to thank all who participated as well Martin H

Hairy Stickler
Hello All, Here is my entry, a Spitfire LF Mk Vb operated by 401 Squadron RCAF (flown by F/O Jack Sheppard). Between August and October 1943, this aircraft was based at RAF Staplehurst which was an advanced landing ground situated just outside the village in which I grew up. 401 Squadron's last UK base before they headed off to France was RAF Tangmere. For the past 23 years, I have lived 10 minutes drive from the site of what was RAF Tangmere, so I seem to have (unknowingly) been stalking this Squadron! This was the Tamiya 1/72 scale kit, brush painted with a mix of AK and Hataka acrylics. The superb decals were from the Exito Sexy Spitfires set. 401 Tactical Fighter Squadron is still active and flying the CF-18 Hornet (whatever one of those is - presumably one of those newfangled planes without a propeller)! Thank you for taking the time to look. Best regards Peter
