Hello! After recently finishing my third lightning (and catching covid for the first time after avoiding it for two years🦠:fuyou_2:), I have decided to mix things up by not following the lightning with another lightning, but a sea king instead!

Airfix's HC.4 to be exact. The specific scheme being ZA314.

I'd like to thank @Julien first of all for the brilliant reference photos that have helped me so far throughout this build.

One final look before closing it up.

After fitting the fuselage, there is only one major issue, this fit issue

Luckily, the box thing on top will solve it:P

I was making the landing gear and the "strut" broke on both sides:rant:

Luckily it could be fixed easily.

My parents surprised me earlier today with a nice little surprise (as a "get well soon" for covid as well as a gift for doing well at school)

should be very fun! I was not expecting it and it made my day brighter.

Here's how the junglie is currently looking:

Made a whole bunch of progress so far today, more tomorrow...

Great choice, as an ex Junglie (Wessex HU 5's), you got my interest. I have two kits in the stash and maybe should have built one for the Falklands 40th Anniversary GB.

Sorry to hear you contracted COVID, speedy recovery, modelling will help.

Nice present from your parents.

Very nice work so far.
Have you been able to check the fit of the cockpit transparencies? That chasm in front of the air intakes might cause some bother.

Thanks steve, I have indeed and surprisingly everything fits fine so it's left me a bit confused... I won't complain though.

Which leads one to speculate if that gap is meant to be there. Excellent work on the interior, I look forward to seeing more of this build.

Interesting observation Martin. Something to watch out for. A not in the kit box for sure...

Oh! Very nice start on the Seaking. And, do you think your parents might adopt me?

My parents reply is "Send a CV and we'll consider it"

Good evening everyone,

Good progress today!

Painting may be fully done by the weekend!

Dryfitted the intake filter, canopy and landing gear and she's looking real fine if I do say so myself.

Thanks for all the support everyone!

I'm glad to say I am indeed feeling better now (about time, it's been a week).

I'm getting pretty darn close to the fuselage being done! Details were painted today (excluding a few bits here and there).

Hopefully the fuselage will be done this weekend, then back to school (finally) for the final 3.5 days and then I'm FREEEEEEE for the summer.

Earlier today I finished the fuselage and pledged, currently in the midst of decalling!

It's all very exciting.

I will evidently be doing the rotor+blades last on this model.

As of now, she's about 99% complete! I just have to do the leading edge, tips and stripe decals on the underside of the rotor and I'm done!

One of my fastest projects ever, she will have been finished in just over a week (started on 20th)!
